Volunteer

Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering and supporting this year’s San Francisco Latino Film Festival which looks like it will be one of the biggest festivals yet with a wide variety of exciting new films from across the globe. We are reaching out to everyone as we will need a dedicated crew to assist with everything from taking tickets at each venue and helping to manage crowds to photographers and street teams. As always, we couldn’t produce this festival without the assistance of our motivated volunteers! Thank you in advance for any and all help that you can offer.

We currently have the following openings.

  • ushers
  • runners
  • survey distribution/collectors
  • photographers
  • videographers
  • interpreters – Spanish/English
  • community outreach – mostly before by email and phone
  • graphic designers
  • video editors

This year’s festival kicks off September 20 and runs through September 29. The venues will be in San Francisco, Oakland, and Berkeley. We need coverage for every day – films start as early as early as 1pm on weekends and later showings in the evenings are usually 7 and a few at 9 PM.

Volunteers are welcome to watch the films during the times they are volunteering based on availability of seats. Feel free to look at the schedule in order to plan your availability. If we do have a sold out event, every volunteer will receive a voucher for a later film screening which you can redeem for a ticket.

If you would like to participate in this year’s exciting festival, please fill out the form as soon as you can so we can put you on the schedule. Please only volunteer if you can commit. We understand that unexpected events come up, but in order to maximize and honor your time, we will be working to ensure that everyone has the times that they request if at all possible. Any cancellations or changes often prevent us from being consistent with scheduling.

Thank you so much for any and all of your help – we will be in touch shortly to schedule you in.
